The Breast Lesson

The function of breasts?

Boobs, tits, jugs, boobage, melons, cans, the twins, chesticles and top heavy are just some of the slang terms for the upper ventral region of the torso of a female.

Women put themselves through agony to have bigger boobs, cutting up their bodies and inserting silicon… Why? I have relatively large breasts and I would like to go down a cup or maybe have a firmer bust. With ‘great’ breasts come ‘great’ responsibility, also loss of elasticity is a bitch so get use to it.

Both men and women develop breasts from the same embryological tissues. However, at puberty, female sex hormones, mainly estrogen, promote breast development, which does not occur in men, due to the higher amount of testosterone. As a result, women’s breasts become far more prominent than those of men.

The primary function of the breasts  is the feeding and the nourishing of an infant child with breast milk during the maternal lactation period. The secondary function is simply for men to fondle, lick and suck. 🙂

The fascination with breasts

Breasts and especially the nipple are one of a woman’s erogenous zones. They are sensitive to the touch as they have many nerve endings; and it is common to press or massage them with hands or orally before or during sexual activity.

Compared to other primates, human breasts are proportionately large throughout adult females’ lives. Some writers have suggested that they may have evolved as a visual signal of sexual maturity and fertility.

Many regard the female body, of which breasts are an important aspect, to be aesthetically pleasing, as well as erotic. Research has shown that breasts are often the first thing men look at, and for a longer time than other body parts.

Apparently this is because larger breasts indicate higher levels of estrogen and is therefore a sign of greater fertility.

But the researchers believe that “Men may be looking more often at the breasts because they are simply aesthetically pleasing, regardless of the size.”

Many regard bare female breasts to be erotic, and they can elicit heightened sexual desires in some men in some cultures. Some people show a sexual interest in female breasts distinct from that of the person, which may be regarded as a breast fetish.

My opinion on dress code !!!

I don’t complain to HR when a man burps in my presence. I don’t run to HR when his fly is down. I don’t complain at all the silly comments that are made or the fact that you keep on blaming PMS for me just being a bitch because you are an asshole.

But when I wear a tank top because the heat is unbearable,

Jealous much!!!

The Breast Exam

10 Minutes once a month could save your life.

Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer among South African women, but if detected early it can be treated successfully. Monthly self-examination is key to early detection.

Check both breasts monthly.

The best time is a week after your period (if you no longer have periods, check your breasts on the same day every month.)

Here’s How:

Raising one arm at a time, use the finger of the other hand to press gently, spiraling from the nipple outward, including the armpit.

Breast Palpatation Techniques

Feel and look for changes:

  • size or shape – one breast might become larger than the other
  • skin texture – like puckering of the skin or dimpling of the nipple
  • lumps in the breasts or armpits
  • an unusual swelling in the armpit or enlargement of the glands
  • one breast unusually lower than the other or nipples at different levels
  • nipple discharge or a rash around the nipple

See a doctor if you feel any unusual lump or anything that worries you.
